Ordering for parades
Every year, in the fortnight before a parade, we take calls from schools and clubs that have discovered at the last minute that the banner is worn or that flags are missing.
This page exists so that does not happen to you. It sets out what a parade needs, how long each item takes, and when to call us.
The simple rule: allow us three weeks before the date of the parade.

Times run from approval of the design. Demand rises sharply before 25 March and 28 October, which is why we ask for three weeks.

There are four major parades in Cyprus. Note when you should be calling us for each.

What a school needs
- The school banner - usually 90 × 120 cm, velvet, with the school emblem and name
- A 3 metre aluminium pole, with a cross or sphere
- A leather harness for the pupil carrying the banner
- National flags for the pole in the yard
- Hand flags at 30 × 20 cm for the pupils
- Bunting to decorate the grounds
Check last year's banner first
Before ordering a new one, take last year's banner out of its cover and look at it in daylight.
Fringing frays, tassels wear and the stitching around the emblem works loose over the years. All of it can be repaired, and it often costs a great deal less than a new banner.
How to call us
Have ready the name of the school or club, the dimensions you want and - if you have one - the emblem as a file.
If you do not have the emblem in good quality, we can pass it to a graphic designer to be redrawn, for an additional charge we will tell you about beforehand.
Frequently asked questions
How early should we order for a parade?
Allow us three weeks before the date of the parade. An embroidered banner takes fifteen days to make, and demand in those periods is heavy.
We have left it late. Can you still do it?
Call and ask. National flags in standard sizes are in stock and can be collected straight away. For a banner made to order, we will tell you honestly whether there is time.
What size is a school banner?
Usually 90 × 120 centimetres. We make other sizes to order.
Can we repair last year's banner instead of buying a new one?
Very often, yes. Bring it in and we will look at it - fringing, tassels, pole, sphere, cross and harness can all be seen to.
Do you supply hand flags for pupils?
Yes, at 30 × 20 centimetres, along with bunting to decorate the school.
